UK-based VFX and animation powerhouse, Jellyfish Pictures, continues its global expansion with the establishment of a new VFX division in Toronto, Canada.
Last year, the studio hired 400 plus new artists and set its footprint in Mumbai, India. Jellyfish Pictures is now strategically tapping into Toronto’s rich pool of top-tier VFX talent. Jellyfish Pictures managing director of VFX Phil Greenlow, expressed excitement about the move, stating, “Since some of the world’s finest VFX talent is concentrated in Toronto, it’s the obvious next stop on our international road map. Coupled with the recent influx of production activity in Ontario, we can’t wait for our team to create compelling visual effects in this vibrant location.”
Jellyfish Pictures is the VFX studio behind critically acclaimed series like Netflix’s The Gentleman and Apple TV’s Constellation. Currently, a lot of projects are in the pipeline such as the Kate Winslet starrer film Lee, an untitled DreamWorks Animation feature, a children’s book adaptation of Toto The Ninja Cat, a fantasy novel adaptation called Wereworld, and much more.
