Indian VFX company Digikore Studios has signed a contract with Reliance-owned media company Viacom18 for the production and hosting of 58 episodes of branded content on Reliance’s streaming service JioCinema.
The contract is expected to generate Rs 30 crores in revenue by the end of FY25 and to help Digikore achieve its revised revenue target of Rs 70 crores for the financial year. Digikore will retain the intellectual property (IP) rights for the shows worldwide and in perpetuity. The content will be hosted on other OTT platforms globally and on Digikore’s own Youtube channel and Binge Fever to boost monetisation from FY26 onwards.
Digikore Studios is a VFX and virtual production studio founded in 2000 and is based in Pune, India. The company has worked with international clients such as Disney, Marvel, Netflix, Amazon, Apple, Hulu, Paramount, Warner, Fox and Sony among others. The studio has worked on projects such as Marvel Studios’ Thor: Love and Thunder and Netflix’s Stranger Things.
Viacom 18 is an Indian media company which has 30 plus channels across a wide range of genres such as general entertainment, sports, music and kids channels. A few of its major brands include Colors, MTV, Vh1 India, Comedy Central, Nickelodeon and Sonic.
